Wellness in today’s world can feel like an overwhelming destination, that requires us to wade through books, website, podcasts & posts to get to the right information relevant to you.
And I truly understand because I have been there.
Despite being a long time yoga teacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner, I struggled with low energy, fatigue, weight gain and just not feeling 100%. Then over 10 years ago I discovered I had thyroid and hormone imbalances. In fact, I was diagnosed with the auto-immune condition known as Hashimoto’s. Instead of taking medication, I decided to go the all-natural route & dive down the rabbit hole of health practitioners, doctors, food regimes, wellness and health.

Ayurveda and yogic practices have been a big part of my wellness & healing. Ayurveda, the ancient wellness system from India – and the sister science to yoga – offers solutions based on the individual. The underlying philosophy believes that no two people are the same and therefore, we all require a unique program just for us and our body type & constitution.
Throughout my journey, I have:

What happens during a wellness coaching session?

1.Before the session, you will complete an ayurvedic survey & wellness form.

2.To begin the session, we will start with a centering exercise that brings you into your body. Here you will begin to clarify your intentions for the session, as well as, your 'big picture' wellness goals.

3.Next, we establish where you health is today and we'll explore any past or family conditions, through specific questions, observations and tongue diagnosis.

4.Then we explore your health based on the 4 pillars of health: Food, Rest, Exercise and Emotional Wellness. This will include looking at your: daily routines, relationships, work and leisure time.

5.Once we get super clear on your health & wellness goals, we will begin creating a strategy and steps to get you there.

6.You will leave the session with unique prescribed simple self care and daily practices, as well as clear ideas around food, nutrition and other wellness steps.

Wellness Coaching Frequently Asked Questions
Wellness Coaching is a holistic approach to living a healthy and meaningful life. The underlying premise is to address not only your physical body, but also your mind, emotions, work, relationships and how you live your daily life.
By bringing in a balanced approach to your nutrition, rest, exercise and mental health, you can experience an all over state of wellness.
Wellness Coaching is for you if you are ready to make a commitment to your health. This will require a readiness & motivation to be an active participant in your campaign for wellness.
You will be ready for making some significant changes and open to changing patterns, habits and behaviours in your daily life.
The first session is a power 2 hours and establishes your current health, wellness goals. If we both feel comfortable working together, then a program is created to set you up for long term and sustainable health.
Sessions can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Either way, you will be receiving health support through email follow up & questions, and prescribed meditations, yoga postures or nutritional suggestions.
Since wellness coaching is working towards future goals, it does involve steps, strategies and a process that will require at least several sessions to see you get to your end point.
A minimum of 4 sessions is required, however, ideally a set of 10 sessions is recommended to ensure crystal clear clarity, transformation and measurable positive life changes.
Yes, absolutely. The online wellness coaching session will run in a very similar way to a face-to-face coaching session. Observations and tongue diagnosis can still be done over the screen.
Yes I do see teenagers. As a mother of two teenage daughters, I have first hand experience of the complications, stressors and barriers to health for teenagers in todays world. By acknowledging the peer & social media pressures around teens, we can explore ways to find balance physically & mentally.
In addition to this, I can offer counselling support as a licensed psychotherapist.
